NEED A HUG

That's where Need a Hug came from.

It's a song about seeing someone who's hurting and simply saying, you can count on me. About putting your arms around somebody, helping them back onto their feet and reminding them that love can sometimes speak louder than words.

Sometimes the simplest question can mean the most: “Do you need a hug?”

There's romance in it, there's attraction, but underneath all of that is something simple — being there for another person when they need you.

One of the things I love about making music is taking an ordinary human feeling and building a whole song around it. Need a Hug has a warm groove, a little soul and a little MARROW flavour, but the heart of the record is reassurance, closeness and support.

Not every difficult moment needs a perfect answer. Sometimes your presence is the answer.
