Building the MARROW Family

One of the most rewarding parts of releasing music independently has been watching songs travel beyond the room where they were created. Over a six-month period, my music reached more than 23,000 listeners on Spotify and appeared across hundreds of listener playlists.

For an independent artist, those numbers are more than statistics. Every listener represents someone who made a choice to give the music a chance. Every playlist addition means a song found a place in somebody else's day.

That is why my focus is not simply on chasing streams. I want to build a community around MARROW — people who follow the journey, hear the development from one release to the next and stay for what comes afterwards.

One song, one listener and one supporter at a time.

I set myself a goal of growing the Spotify following because following an artist creates a longer relationship than a single stream. It gives listeners a way to discover the next release and allows the audience to grow alongside the music.

I am building this independently, from Seychelles to the UK and wherever the music travels next. Every person who listens, follows, shares or adds a song to a playlist becomes part of that story.
